UHF 902 MHz Gen 2 Handheld RFID Reader/Writer

Toronto,Canada - GAO RFID Asset Tracking has rolled out UHF Gen 2 RFID reader/writer in a compact PDA style unit running the latest Windows Mobile OS. The unit supports multiple protocols and is applicable for field service as well as warehousing, supply chain and retail POS inventory control.

This UHF Gen 2 handheld RFID reader/writer, model 246001, boasts a backlit, 256 color TFT-LCD screen with touch panel and communicates with computers for data exchange via interfaces including USB, IrDA1.1, RS232 and TTL. It operates over the frequency range of 902 to 928MHz with spread spectrum frequency hopping. The handheld RFID reader/writer has a read range of 0 to 3 meters and a write range from 0 to 1.5 meters. Its high impact plastic housing provides protection against water and dust. This UHF Gen 2 handheld RFID reader/writer supports multi-detection and is compatible with tags compliant with ISO 18000-6b, EPC Class 1 Gen 1, EPC UHF Gen 2 and ISO 18000-6c.
