433MHz Active RFID Tag for Small Asset Tracking

Toronto, Canada – GAO RFID Asset Tracking has released this cost-effective UHF RFID tag (GAO124018) for small sized asset tracking. This active RFID tag is specially designed for asset tagging applications on metallic surfaces or plastics containing high metal content such as found in laptops, IT equipment, vehicles and transport media.

This tag is powered by an internal battery and transmits a radio frequency signal at pre-set time-intervals for the duration of its life. As it consumes little power, tag life is estimated to be five years at a transmission time interval of 1.5 seconds. Battery status can be inferred by interrogating the internal Tag Age Counter Value. This active tag boasts configurable settings, including Site/Vendor ID, Tag ID, Transmission, Repetition Interval and Alarm functions. It is compatible with the following RFID Readers – GAO214001, GAO214015, GAO214016, and GAO214013. Encapsulated in a plastic case, it is able to withstand harsh environments.
