Toronto,Canada - GAO RFID Asset Tracking recommends this UHF desktop RFID reader/writer as an ideal solution for use in applications such as logistics and warehouse management or security applications, as it has memory protection functions. It is compliant with both EPC Class1 Gen 1 and Gen 2 protocols and operates in the frequency band of 860MHz to 960MHz thus supporting both North America and EU standards. The RFID reader provides a maximum read distance of 50cm.

The standalone UHF Gen 2 RFID reader, model 236007, communicates through Ethernet and RS232 interfaces. A Wiegand interface is also available for this reader. It also allows users to choose from a variety of configuration options via a user-friendly Web browser interface. This ultra-high frequency RFID reader/writer is shipped with a software development kit (SDK) that facilitates the development of user-specific requirements. Encapsulated within an ABS case, it performs well even in industrial environments.
