This 433 MHz active standalone RFID reader detects and decodes RFID signals from active RFID tags. It operates in two data transmission modes: hardware auto-polling mode for the continuous feed of tag data to the system and software polling mode which tag data is requested from each other individually by intelligent edge devices or host applications. Featuring a compact size and light weight, this reader is ideally suited as a standalone unit when connected over USB. It is capable of reading tags at ranges from 0.5 m to 500 m. It utilizes RS232 and USB interfaces for data transfer. In addition, used with a compatible antenna, this low power consumption reader allows for fluent operation under hard conditions.
