Overview - UHF RFID Interrogator PC Card (GAO 227001)

This RFID Reader/Writer card is a long-range (up to 100 meters) interrogator in a PCMCIA card format that minimizes human intervention while achieving extremely reliable performance of real time data collection in identification, tracking, tracing, and localization of assets or people. This card uses UHF radio frequency technology with an advanced anti-collision algorithm, allowing it to accurately transmit and receive information to and from literally thousands of RFID tags. It can be conveniently plugged into a laptop, handheld or mobile computer, and ships with development software for application development under Windows CE/9x/NT/ 2000/XP and Linux. The software also enables it to process data and update firmware from the PCMCIA- or serial interface.
